Draco has no ways of being able to discern gender. However, as a wizard (even with his magic temporarily removed), he does have at least some ability to sense magical abilities. Usually seeing or hearing magic is done in the form of casting a spell to reveal traces or signatures, however, I'm inclined to say he's at least slightly capable of seeing it naturally.
This may, however, mean that he's only partly able to see the eggs/charas, perhaps as faint apparitions?
